Had a fantastic time in the studio with Brooke (fledgling model) and her mom Joan the other day. Brooke is thinking about modeling and needed to have a variety of looks to build her portfolio. This required many costume changes and much playing in the studio. It is great to relax and let this kind of session flow – having great people handy to do hair and make-up and motivate the model are all requirements to create that flow – you know who you are – Thanks!

The need to be out and about is one difficult aspect of running a photography business. While much of the actual photographic work – and all of the editing – is done at the studio…generating work requires meeting people and being active in the community. And besides – who doesnt like to get out now that spring is (almost) in the air?

My recent engagement session with Sabrina and Saul was a chance to go down to the river valley and begin the season. We were all pretty chilled by the time we were done – but the pics suggest it was worth it. Sometime things can get a little stiff in the studio – being in nature allows for a lot more spontanaity.
